The Internet of Things is a hot topic – where the largest share of voice belongs to futuristic high tech gadgets, smart homes and machine learning. How can small technical products like embedded SIM cards gain attention and become interesting to a wider audience in this context?

Insight

The Internet of Things, including both connected consumer devices and industrial machine-to-machine connections, requires flexible cellular connectivity and subscriptions that are easy to manage. What makes On-demand connectivity through eSIM both interesting and critical is how it enables all these IoT products and services.

Solution

The “Turning things on” campaign shows how the integration of connected technology in everyday life is made possible by Gemalto’s eSIM technology and subscription management platform. It consists of a campaign website with downloadable assets that add value, and a multichannel campaign to drive traffic (Twitter, LinkedIn, e-mail, YouTube and events).

Results

The campaign helps place Gemalto right in the middle of the ongoing conversations on the Internet of Things – the benefits it can bring to both individuals and different business sectors, and what it will take to make its promises come true.
